As global supply chains feel the strain of complex ecological and social distasters it is necessary to be responsible for a portion of our own food. Recently in Korea urban farming has become popular with the startup scene and commercial products are starting to emerge. This experiment intended to spread ideas and knowledge about food production with guests of the hotel.
As part of the Unusual Suspects Festival Seoul 2019 we hosted a travelling radio booth which broadcast a selection of talks from different groups, for example disability activists and women who freelance. We wanted to document and spread the voices of the social groups that were brought together by the festival.
This workshop focused on redesigning urban spaces from the perpective of elementary school children. Collaborating with Interior Design students from the University of Gongju and a local elementary school class we developed a series of spatial interventions to explore the theme.
